Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design, implement, and manage a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure for a federal agency. The role focuses on performance, capacity planning, replication, disaster recovery, backup, and storage security within a multi-enterprise environment.

The candidate will produce standards, documentation, and implementation processes, ensuring 24/7/365 uptime. Experience with Gov Cloud and hybrid cloud architectures is preferred, with strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Eight years of relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC storage products (OneFS/OneFile, MDS, Unity, Isilon, Data Domain, RecoverPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based infrastructure.
• Define strategic direction for SAN and backup environments.
• Designs enterprise storage solutions and deploys them across environments.
• Provide capacity planning, utilization reporting, and security measures for storage.
• Create standards and implementation processes for storage config, optimization, and DR.
• Troubleshoot complex SAN issues and coordinate with internal/external customers.
• Maintain 24/7/365 uptime of SAN infrastructure as part of a team.
• Architect and maintain private cloud/hybrid cloud environments (Gov Cloud).
• Perform security tasks including vulnerability reviews, patching, and auditing.
