Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to design and implement SAN architecture for an EMC-based infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The engineer will drive standards, optimization, and disaster recovery plans while ensuring security and high availability across multi-enterprise environments.

Ideal candidates will have strong Dell EMC expertise, experience with private and Gov Cloud, and a proven ability to document architectures and roadmaps for scalable storage solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement; or eight years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC SAN products and storage arrays.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise SAN/storage solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement full-scale SAN architecture for EMC-based SAN infrastructure.
• Define strategic direction for SAN and backup environment.
• Design enterprise storage requirements into scalable solutions.
• Provide storage capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Develop standards for storage configuration, optimization, replication, and security.
• Troubleshoot complex SAN issues and coordinate with internal/external customers.
• Maintain 24/7/365 uptime and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
• Architect private cloud environments; Gov Cloud and hybrid architectures desirable.
• Perform security-related tasks including vulnerability reviews and patching.
