Job summary

Digital Federal Credit Union seeks a Manager of SRE & Cloud Engineering to lead Cloud Engineering, Architecture, and Site Reliability Engineering teams. You will set performance expectations, drive automation, and build scalable infrastructure across public clouds.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technology operations with 3+ years in people leadership, strong cloud and IaC expertise, and excellent communication to align tech with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience)
• 5+ years in technology operations, infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or SRE, with 3+ years in people leadership
• Proven track record leading and scaling engineering teams across distributed locations
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms and modern infrastructure practices including IaC, containerization, and CI/CD
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, observability tooling, and incident management
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate tech topics into business strategies

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor SRE and Cloud Engineering teams with clear performance expectations
• Oversee daily operations and escalations for Cloud Engineering, Architecture, and SRE staff
• Collaborate with Incident Management to build observability dashboards for environments and apps
• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across public clouds; drive IaC adoption and automation
• Develop and mature SRE practices, define SLOs/SLIs, automate incidents and runbooks
• Provide executive visibility into reliability metrics, incident trends, and infrastructure health
• Partner with security to enforce cloud security, risk controls, and audit readiness
• Hire, mentor, and develop managers; track reliability metrics across services
