Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union in Marlborough/Chelmsford, MA, seeks a Manager, SRE & Cloud Engineering to lead Cloud Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams responsible for cloud infrastructure, observability, and operational excellence to support highly available applications.

You will drive IaC adoption, CI/CD (Azure/AWS), and automation, define SLOs/SLIs, and mature SRE practices across the organization while collaborating with information security for guardrails and audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or 4 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in technology operations, infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or SRE with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams across distributed locations.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms, IaC, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of SRE, observability, and incident management.
• Strong communication and ability to translate technical topics to business strategies.
• Certifications in Cloud or ITIL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SRE and Cloud engineers; provide feedback and career guidance.
• Define and track reliability metrics (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
• Influence system design for scalability, resilience, and observability.
• Manage day-to-day workload and priorities for the team.
