Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Manager of SRE & Cloud Engineering in Massachusetts. You will lead Cloud Engineering, Architecture, and Site Reliability teams to design scalable infrastructure across public cloud, drive IaC adoption, and implement automation best practices.

You will define reliability metrics, partner with security, and drive operational excellence while mentoring managers and building a high-performing, accountable culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience)
• 5+ years in technology operations, with 3+ years in people leadership
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, IaC, containerization, CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering staff, set performance expectations and growth
• Own day-to-day operations and escalations for Cloud Engineering, Architecture, and SRE teams
• Build observability dashboards and drive reliability across services
• Design scalable infrastructure across public cloud, drive IaC adoption, CI/CD, and automation best practices
• Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs, incident response runbooks, and reduce operational toil
