Job summary
Octave is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to fortify cloud platforms and services. You will work across development, architecture, security and operations to boost reliability, observability and incident handling in a distributed Azure environment.
You will develop deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps, design scalable cloud infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement of reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with containers, AKS and Azure App Services.
- Understanding of incident management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
- Experience with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, OpenTofu or Scalr.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python or similar.
- Understanding of secure cloud engineering practices, deployment strategies and production readiness.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and optimise deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Identify, analyse and resolve platform, infrastructure and deployment weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain complex PowerShell scripts for platform reliability.
- Collaborate with architecture, development, security and operations teams on SRE practices.
- Deploy and support multi-tier Azure environments using OpenTofu modules.
