Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and security of Azure-hosted applications and infrastructure. The role emphasizes hands-on expertise across Azure cloud infrastructure and observability, plus automation and production support.

The position is remote in the USA with opportunities to collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
• Proficient in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights for monitoring and diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• IaC experience using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Understanding of SRE principles to improve service availability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and support production and non-production workloads on Microsoft Azure, ensuring reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, AKS, and networking.
• Design and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
• Automate operational tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, diagnostics, dashboards, and alerting using Azure-native tools.
• Develop and maintain IaC to provision and configure Azure resources.
• Support incident, problem, change, and release management with root-cause analysis.
