Job summary

Vanguard's Cloud Engineering team is seeking a Cloud Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing group delivering scalable, reliable cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments. You will drive engineering excellence, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities shaping cloud platform maturity.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in cloud engineering/ platform engineering.
Undergraduate degree in a related field.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud architectures.
Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale enterprise environments.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing cloud engineering team with mentorship and performance assessments.
Develop, manage, and optimize cloud platform capabilities across Vanguard's cloud environment.
Drive automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, and other stakeholders to design scalable cloud solutions.
Set engineering standards, operating models, and KPIs for reliability and throughput.
Drive continuous improvement in cloud performance, availability, and resilience.
Monitor metrics and OKRs to measure platform reliability and team impact.
Enhance visibility and operational insights across cloud teams.
Lead cloud modernization initiatives and adoption of new technologies.
