Vanguard is seeking a Cloud Security Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for cloud security controls and managing misconfigurations across Vanguard’s multi-cloud infrastructure. You’ll operate at the intersection of security risk, automation, and emerging AI-driven capabilities—driving outcomes that protect Vanguard and its clients while minimizing friction for technology teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in cloud security engineering or cloud engineering.
• Strong leadership and team management experience with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and solid cloud security principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and secure DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholder levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Cloud Security Posture Management team with mentorship and performance oversight.
• Oversee cloud security controls and remediation of misconfigurations across multi-cloud environments.
• Infuse AI-driven capabilities and automation into security operations and detective capabilities.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, Architecture, and SOC to implement shift-left security practices.
• Shape remediation SLAs, enforce guardrails, and drive continuous process improvements.
