Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to provide operational and application database services across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will own incidents, monitor health, implement backups, and support performance and security requirements.

You will collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams, participate in deployments, and help build database monitoring. A hybrid remote work option is available; strong SQL/T‑SQL skills and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with backups, recovery, and security concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL MI / Azure SQL DB / SQL on VMs.
• Ability to manage security, roles, and access controls.
• Knowledge of OLTP database structures and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SSMS, Grafana or similar tools.
• Experience with SSIS or SSRS and other ETL/reporting tools.
• CS/IT related degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve database incidents and requests; monitor health.
• Design, create, and maintain database objects across on‑prem and cloud.
• Manage backups, restores, and daily maintenance tasks.
• Assist with deployments and coding standards for stored procedures.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams on improvements.
• Refresh dev/test databases to support QA and development.
• Build monitoring infrastructure for alerts and visibility.
• Support security and access controls across environments.
• Estimate effort for new or revised database systems.
