Job summary

Amazon is seeking an operations engineer to join the AWS Support team in Seattle, WA. You will troubleshoot complex issues across enterprise environments, manage fleets of server instances, and collaborate with enterprise customers and partners to deploy scalable cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes Linux/Windows system administration, networking, and automation experience, with a focus on rapid problem-solving and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications include 2+ years of technical support or 3+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience in System Administration and troubleshooting with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Networking fundamentals and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, DNS, HTTP/S.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and solve challenging operational issues in a complex enterprise environment.
• Support fleets of server instances across multiple AWS regions.
• Collaborate with AWS enterprise teams to provide tailored deployment solutions.
• Build and maintain CloudFormation templates and scripts for automation and deployment.
• Create internal tools and utilities to enable safe, high-speed operations.
