Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Network Engineer II to provide 24x7 support for production and corporate networks. You will troubleshoot WAN/BGP/ISIS and LAN environments, monitor health, and coordinate with ISPs and vendors to ensure rapid service restoration.

The role requires a strong understanding of routing, switching, servers, DNS, and VPNs, with CCNA or equivalent certification. Occasional weekend work and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, servers, DNS and VPNs
• Familiarity with CDNs, peering and network capacity planning
• CCNA or equivalent certification required

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of defense for network incidents with 24x7 production support.
• Troubleshoot layer 1–3 issues and maintain WAN, BGP, ISIS, LAN and VLANs.
• Monitor network health and mitigate risks for quick service restoration.
• Provide customer-centric support across multiple channels.
• Create and update SOPs for network changes and incident mitigation.
• Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and VPN endpoints.
• Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades, including occasional weekend work.
• Troubleshoot outages and participate in global production and data center networks.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors on hardware/software issues.
• Handle traffic and queries from partners; assist with incident input and errors.
