Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Network Engineer II in Dallas to own internal and external network orders, ensuring high accuracy and independence in work. You'll support a global network including edge and CDN infrastructure and collaborate with ISPs and vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of related experience, with opportunities to work on upgrades, troubleshooting, and complex projects. On-site position with competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of related experience or equivalent
• Understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, AD, firewalls, DNS, email, VMs and software applications
• Builds productive internal and external working relationships
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies
• Understanding of server hardware technologies related to content delivery performance and capacity

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain network hosts and services (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints)
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades (including after-hours when needed)
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages
• Collaborate on global production and corporate network (edge, backbone, DC, CDN)
• Coordinate with vendors on hardware/software issues
• Handle traffic, ISP/Partner inquiries
• Support incidents (input errors, CRC, RMA)
• Work with ISPs/vendors to fix network issues
• Other duties as required
