Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Network Engineer II to act as the focal point for internal and external network orders. The role requires independent work with high accuracy and attention to detail, including flexible shifts across time zones.

Responsibilities include resolving incidents, maintaining WAN/BGP/IS-IS networks, and ensuring quick service restoration. Applicants should have a CCNA and 2–5 years of related experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, server OS, AD, firewalls and DNS.
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.
• Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of defense for network incidents with 24x7 support.
• Troubleshoot layer 1–3 issues; maintain WAN, BGP, ISIS, VLAN, STP and related services.
• Monitor network health and mitigate risks to ensure quick restoration of services.
• Create and update SOPs for network changes and incident analysis.
• Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints.
• Manage network maintenance and outages, including weekend shifts as needed.
• Collaborate with ISPs/vendors to resolve issues.
