Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Network Engineer II in Austin, TX to manage and support the company’s production and corporate networks. You will troubleshoot complex issues, implement changes, and work with ISPs and vendors to ensure high availability.

The role requires a BS degree with 2–5 years of experience, CCNA or equivalent, and willingness to cover shift-based hours including weekends. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years’ related network experience.
• Understanding of routing, switching, servers, AD, firewalls, DNS, VPN, and virtualization.
• Strong internal/external relationship skills; good judgment within procedures.
• CCNA or equivalent certification.
• 5–8 years of experience in networking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of defense for all network incidents with 24x7 support.
• Troubleshoot L1–L3 issues; maintain WAN, BGP, ISIS, LAN, FHRP, VLAN, STP, and related services.
• Monitor production network health; assess risks and mitigate to ensure quick restoration.
• Provide customer-centric support via multiple channels.
• Create/update SOPs for network changes, analysis, and mitigation.
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints.
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades; sometimes during evenings/weekends.
• Participate in global production and corporate networks (edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, CDN).
• Coordinate with ISPs/vendors on issues; handle traffic and queries.
• Other duties as required.
