Job summary

Talantir is seeking a Network Engineer II to provide Tier 3 engineering and 24x7 NOSC support for the IHS enterprise network. You will troubleshoot complex incidents, perform upgrades, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring secure, compliant services across data centers and hundreds of sites.

The role emphasizes Cisco Nexus/IOS environments, OSPF/BGP routing, QoS for voice/video, firewall/VPN configurations, and rigorous documentation aligned with ITIL, DISA/STIGs, and NIST controls.

Qualifications

• U.S. Government Public Trust clearance (Level 5C) required.
• 5+ years of enterprise network experience supporting large WANs and/or data centers.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching; ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies (IPsec).
• Strong documentation and communication skills; customer-focused and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 engineering and operational support for NOSC operations.
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents and perform config changes and upgrades.
• Configure and support Cisco Nexus/IOS platforms in data centers and facilities.
• Implement OSPF and BGP routing; manage QoS for critical apps.
• Generate required documentation and reports per ITIL and federal standards.
