Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to help scale and operate our global data center networks.

You will work with limited supervision to support enterprise-class networking, rack and cabling operations, and ongoing automation efforts. The role involves collaborating with network engineers, project managers and internal customers, handling ticket-driven work, and deploying hardware in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in networking and deployments for large-scale networks.

Responsibilities

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
