Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to drive stability and scalability of our enterprise networks.

You will work with limited supervision, support new data center locations, and assist in automating network deployment and maintenance. The role requires experience with large-scale networks, collaboration with internal customers and external vendors, and readiness to travel regionally and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, data center operations, or technical project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low-level application interaction.
• Travel up to 20% within geographical work area; some travel may be international.
• Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity, including patch panels and cords.
• Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking.
• Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
