Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable networks across on‑prem data centers, public cloud, and enclave domains. You will work primarily at customer sites in Huntsville, Alabama, focusing on cloud networking, SDN, and container‑native networking in Kubernetes environments.

The role requires hands‑on experience with VPCs, VNets, multicast traffic, and secure inter‑domain routing.

Qualifications

• Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Cloud networking hands-on with VPCs, VNets, peering, and transit gateways.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of multicast UDP and broadcast UDP traffic handling.
• Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting in Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in secure routing across domains or enclaves.
• 8+ years in professional networking focusing on cloud and software-defined environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure networks spanning on-prem, cloud, and enclave domains.
• Build and manage cloud networking infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Implement SDN platforms and integrate network services with Kubernetes via CNI.
• Enable hybrid cloud connectivity, routing, and latency optimization.
• Automate provisioning and changes with IaC tools; monitor and alert for security events.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams; produce runbooks and docs.
