Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. seeks a Cloud Network Engineer in Huntsville, AL to design, implement, and operate secure networks spanning on‑prem and cloud environments. You'll work with SDN, Kubernetes, and container networking to enable high‑performance, secure connectivity.

Successful candidates will have 5+ years in networking with cloud/SDN focus, strong security, and a DoD Secret clearance. On‑site role with collaboration across security, DevSecOps, and application teams.

Qualifications

• Network design with restricted/compliant networks and secure inter-domain communication.
• Cloud networking services (VPC, VNets, peering, transit gateways).
• Linux OS experience and multicast/UDP handling.
• SDN and hardware-defined networking experience.
• Secure routing across domains; cross-enclave paths.
• 5 years of professional networking in cloud/SDN environments.
• US Citizenship required; active DoD Secret clearance upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate secure, high-performance networks across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Implement SDN, container-native networking, and CI/CD integration for network services.
• Collaborate with security/DevSecOps, write runbooks, and maintain network documentation.
• Lead hybrid cloud integration and remote enclave connectivity with latency optimization.
• Monitor, automate, and provision networks using IaC tools and robust logging/alerts.
