Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, high‑performance networks across on‑prem, cloud, and enclave domains. You will work primarily at customer sites in Huntsville, with hands‑on experience in cloud networking, SDN, and container‑native networking within Kubernetes.

The role emphasizes secure routing, network automation, and collaboration with security, DevOps, and application teams to deliver scalable network solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional networking experience, with cloud and software‑defined environments.
• Hands-on cloud networking experience (VPCs, VNets, peering, transit gateways).
• Experience with Kubernetes networking and CNI integrations.
• Knowledge of multicast UDP and broadcast UDP traffic handling.
• Ability to design secure routing paths across multiple domains.
• Experience with SDN and hardware‑defined networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure networks across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Configure cloud networking infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enable inter‑domain routes.
• Implement network segmentation, access controls, and policy enforcement.
• Integrate network services with Kubernetes using CNI plugins.
• Connect remote cloud instances to on‑prem data centers with optimized routing.
• Automate provisioning and changes using IaC tools; monitor health and security.
