Job summary

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, high‑performance networks across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will focus on SDN, Kubernetes networking, and secure inter‑domain routing, with most work performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

The role requires 5+ years in professional networking, strong Linux skills, and hands‑on cloud networking experience. Collaboration with security, DevOps, and application teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional networking experience, focusing on cloud and software-defined environments.
• Hands-on cloud networking experience (VPC, VNets, peering, transit gateways).
• Experience with Linux OS and network security across domains.

Responsibilities

• Design & deploy secure networks with restricted inter‑domain routes.
• Build and manage cloud networking infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deploy SDN platforms and integrate with Kubernetes via CNI.
• Connect remote clouds to on‑premise data centers with reliable routing.
• Automate provisioning and monitoring of networks using IaC tools.
• Produce clear documentation and runbooks for network solutions.
