Job summary

DSV Road Transport in Lancaster, TX seeks a Control Tower Specialist, Cloud Logistics to monitor and manage freight movements across origin to delivery, ensuring timely visibility and proactive issue resolution.

You will obtain updates via GPS and tracking systems, escalate delays, and maintain accurate data in the TMS, collaborating with carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, customer service, dispatch, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with transportation management, shipment tracking, GPS, or similar technology platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor active shipments and transportation milestones from origin pickup through final delivery.
• Review and update shipment tracking reports at least every two hours to ensure current visibility.
• Obtain shipment status updates using GPS, tracking systems and other technology platforms.
• Contact drivers, carriers, and partners to obtain status updates when needed.
• Document shipment updates and delivery estimates accurately in required systems.
• Communicate timely shipment status information to internal stakeholders.
