Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, customer service, dispatch, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with transportation management, shipment tracking, GPS, or similar technology platforms preferred.
• Experience communicating with drivers, carriers, or transportation providers is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Ability to learn and effectively use Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking platforms, and other transportation technology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate shipment information.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple shipments and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating by phone with drivers, carriers, brokerage offices, and internal teams to obtain shipment information.
• Ability to identify potential delays or exceptions and elevate issues appropriately.
• Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to research missing or incomplete shipment information.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Organized, dependable, and proactive in following up on outstanding items.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Update tracking reports every two hours to ensure visibility.
• Track milestones: pickup, in-transit status, ETA, delivery, and checkpoints.
• Obtain status updates using GPS, tracking systems, and TMS.
• Contact drivers, carriers, and partners for updates.
• Document shipment updates, ETA, delays, and other information in required systems.
• Monitor for delays or exceptions and escalate as needed.
• Follow up on outstanding updates to ensure complete reporting.
• Communicate shipment status to internal stakeholders.
• Track first, middle, and final mile movements and identify service disruptions.
• Confirm delivery status and supporting shipment information.
• Maintain accurate shipment data in TMS and tracking tools.
• Follow customer requirements and procedures.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and projects as delegated.
