Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician in Boardman, Oregon to install and repair server hardware, troubleshoot networks, and participate in on‑call rotations to ensure 24/7 service availability.

You will work with engineers and vendors across AWS data centers and support 24/7 operations in a demanding facility. The role requires flexible scheduling, travel between data center sites, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with on‑site work and potential relocation

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT-related experience or military equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, and carrying out routine repairs.
