Job summary

AeroVironment in the United States is seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer contractor to design, implement, and maintain a cloud-ready infrastructure. The role emphasizes securing networks, applying best practices, and leveraging Azure AVS, AWS, and related SaaS/PaaS tools across hybrid environments.

Candidates should have extensive Windows and Linux administration, hands-on automation scripting (PowerShell), and IaC experience; VMware, AD, DNS, and network security expertise are valued.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based OS configuration, automation, and management.
• 5-7 years of automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT Management or related field or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Azure AVS Cloud solutioning, maintenance and deployment.
• Experience with AWS; knowledge of OCI is a plus.
• Manage Cloud Infrastructure: VMs, Azure Database, storage, VNets, SRM, Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load Balancer/ F-5.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• On-premises infrastructure: AD, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing.
• Identity and user management via Azure or third parties.
• Other duties as assigned.
