Job summary

AeroVironment, based in California, is seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to design, manage, and maintain a robust cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. The role emphasizes security and best-practice adherence in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have extensive Windows/Linux experience, strong automation skills, and knowledge of Azure AVS and related services. This is a contractor position with enterprise-scale responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of Windows and Linux-based OS configuration, automation, and management.
• 5–7 years of automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools.
• Minimum of 8 years in Systems Administration/Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT Management or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud AVS cloud solutioning, maintenance and deployment.
• Experience with AWS; OCI knowledge would be nice to have.
• Manage cloud infrastructure: VMs, Azure DB and storage, VNets, AD, load balancers, automation.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain on-premises infrastructure: AD, DNS, VMware, firewalls, routing.
• Identity and user management in Azure or with 3rd party tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
