Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to design, manage, and maintain a cloud infrastructure in a contractor capacity. The role requires strong Azure, AWS, and AVS knowledge and experience with both cloud-based and on-prem components.

The candidate will handle deployment, maintenance, and upgrades across VMs, databases, networks, and identity systems, while ensuring security and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management.
• 5-7 years of experience with Automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management or related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud AVS Cloud solutioning, maintenance and deployment
• Experience with cloud platform AWS; knowledge of OCI is a plus
• Cloud Infrastructure: VMs, Azure DB, storage, VNets, SRM, Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer/F-5
• Perform infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
• On-premises infrastructure: AD, DNS, VMware, firewalls, routing
• Identity and user management via Azure or 3rd party
• Other duties as assigned
