Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to design, manage, and secure a scalable cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. The role requires extensive experience with AVS services, virtualization, and enterprise-grade storage and networking.

The contractor will deploy and maintain cloud solutions, upgrade infrastructure, and support on-premises components such as Active Directory and firewalls in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management.
• 5-7 years of experience with Automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology Management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud AVS Cloud solutioning, maintenance and deployment
• Experience with cloud platform AWS. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) would be nice to have.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Virtual Machines, Azure Database, and storage technologies, Virtual Networks, VMWare Site Recovery (SRM), Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer/F-5 load balancer and Azure AD
• Performing infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime.
• On-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing
• Identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or 3rd party
• Other duties as assigned
