Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Data Center Technician to support global infrastructure in data centers, including server rack installations, hardware repair, and network troubleshooting. You will be part of a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, with on-call rotations and travel between locations.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, shifts longer than 8 hours, and willingness to work at multiple sites during training or deployment phases.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for internal/external stakeholders including engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance/change management.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding of new team members.
