Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering seeks experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to design next‑generation cloud server platforms. You will lead mechanical/thermal design, apply new cooling technologies, and drive performance, quality, and cost improvements for enterprise compute and storage servers.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, and network teams across AWS to deliver world‑class server infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies.
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems
• Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
• Participate in the cross‑discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
• Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
• Manage interaction with overseas resources
• Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers
