Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering seeks a leader to own and drive server product design across partner ecosystems. You’ll work with software, hardware, and network engineers, pursuing bold ideas that push performance, quality, and cost efficiency for customers.

You’ll champion interdisciplinary collaboration, translate customer needs into scalable solutions, and oversee deployment and operation of data‑center servers to meet AWS standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 5+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 5+ years of admin experience in networking, storage, OS, and hands-on systems engineering.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, OS).
• Experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with debugging hardware or software engineering practices in large‑scale systems.
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and tests.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and development of server products with partners.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and network teams to meet safety and cost goals.
• Architect solutions by understanding customer needs and business goals.
• Oversee the fleet of servers post-launch, monitoring quality and customer alignment.
