Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a server hardware and software leader to advance engineering at scale in Seattle. You will interact with cross‑functional teams to design, validate, launch, monitor and troubleshoot high‑performance servers that meet thermal budgets and security standards.

Candidates should have 5+ years in CPU/memory architecture and subsystem design, a track record of architecturally significant projects, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• 5+ years identifying and root-causing HW/SW issues in large scale systems.
• 5+ years of experience with customer support for debugging CPU performance issues.
• 5+ years of experience in CPU/memory architecture and subsystem design.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of server hardware and software to maximum performance while staying within thermal budgets.
• Interact with internal and external interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, validate, launch, monitor and troubleshoot at large scale.
