Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a hardware engineer to help build next-generation CPU and memory components powering AWS servers. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and network teams to design, validate, launch, monitor and troubleshoot at scale, delivering secure, high-performance, cost-efficient infrastructure across data centers.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

Own next-generation CPU and Memory components used in servers across AWS.
Collaborate with internal and external interdisciplinary teams of engineers to design, develop, validate, launch, monitor and troubleshoot at large scale.
Provide leadership in the application of new technologies to servers to improve security, performance, quality and cost.
Support AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure customer access to the cloud.
