Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a hardware/firmware leader to advance server hardware and software engineering at scale. You will work on high-performance systems, partnering with internal teams to design, verify, launch, monitor, and troubleshoot complex AWS infrastructure.

You will collaborate with CPU/GPU suppliers to influence future architectures while maintaining thermal budgets and delivering reliable, cost-efficient infrastructure for global services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• 5+ years of experience identifying & root-causing HW/SW issues in large scale systems
• 5+ year of experience with customer support for successive debugging/root-causing cpu performance issues
• 5+ years of experience in cpu/memory architecture and subsystem design

Responsibilities

• Lead server hardware and software engineering to meet AWS needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, validate, launch, monitor, and troubleshoot at scale
• Influence roadmaps with CPU/GPU suppliers
• Ensure performance within thermal budgets and deliver reliable infrastructure at scale
