Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers. Drive reliability, performance, and scalability of our AWS cloud platforms, implement SRE principles, optimize costs, and automate processes.

You will guide the team to align with strategic goals, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, security, and operations to deliver high-value cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent.
• 8–10 years in SRE/Cloud engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on AWS experience with DataDog observability.
• Automation and scripting with Python, Bash and IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• CI/CD with Jenkins; Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong networking and cloud security best practices; cost management.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor; clear communication.
• Commitment to applying standard site reliability principles and proactive cost control.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and strategic direction for the SRE/Cloud Engineering team.
• Oversee infrastructure automation and cloud-native tooling.
• Manage performance, reliability, and cloud cost optimization.
• Ensure security compliance and risk management across environments.
• Develop and grow team capabilities; performance reviews and coaching.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services.
