Job summary

ModMed is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, focusing on security, scalability, and cost efficiency. You’ll lead automation, observability, and performance initiatives for a healthcare IT environment, enabling developers to move fast and safely.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud/Site Reliability Engineering or related field.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS including security, performance tuning, and cost management.
• Proficiency with DataDog, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives across cloud infrastructure to improve reliability and scalability.
• Enhance observability with DataDog and proactive issue detection.
• Standardize infrastructure and enable self-service through GitOps, APIs, UIs, and automation tools.
• Drive containerization with Kubernetes and optimize performance and cost.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS services.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product/ops teams.
