Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Compute, Storage and Data Protection Team Lead to guide NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services. You will lead a team responsible for compute, server OS, virtualization, storage, and backup services, balancing reliability with modernization while delivering customer-focused outcomes.

This hybrid role in Bethesda, MD requires 3 days on customer site, plus obtaining a Public Trust and onsite fingerprinting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 6+ years of IT-related experience.
• Experience leading a technical team in operations, service delivery, and projects.
• People management including recruiting, mentoring, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day team execution for compute, storage, and backup services.
• Develop and communicate technical strategy and roadmap for the service catalog.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure clear timelines and resource planning.
• Step into project management for strategic initiatives when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and modernization of services and processes.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and mentorship.
• Coordinate incidents and communications during/after resolution.
