Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Data Platform Administration Architect to own the architecture, governance, and operations of the enterprise data platform, with a focus on Databricks and Azure services. You will lead production support, release planning, and platform modernization while partnering with engineering, security, and governance teams.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and scalable cloud data platforms, including incident response, RCA, and runbook development.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in enterprise data platforms or platform operations.
Hands-on with Databricks and Azure data platforms in production.
Strong expertise across ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, ADF, and related services.
Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, and deployment automation.
Security, governance, incident response, and change management exposure.
Comfort leading cross-functional teams and architecture direction.

Responsibilities

Lead admin, architecture, governance, and operational support of enterprise data platforms.
Manage Databricks, Azure data services across prod and non-prod environments.
Own platform reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
Define standards, environment strategies, monitoring, and governance controls.
Oversee Change/Release Management, CAB participation, and deployment readiness.
Coordinate incident response, RCA, and post-release validation.
Develop runbooks, knowledge articles, and DR plans.
Report KPIs: uptime, SLA, MTTR, incident trends, platform health.
