Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to own the architecture and evolution of a unified ingestion platform and federated data lake. The role leads multi‑cloud strategy (Azure, AWS, GCP), Databricks governance, and scalable data pipelines for observability, security, and telemetry data.

You will drive automation, policy‑as‑code, and enterprise reliability, enabling AI/ML workloads and cost‑aware operations across the organization.

Qualifications

10+ years in enterprise cloud data platforms and data lakes.
8+ years with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
8+ years Infrastructure‑as‑Code, CI/CD and Policy‑as‑Code automation.
7+ years designing high‑scale streaming/telemetry ingestion.
Leadership role driving multi‑cloud strategy and governance.

Responsibilities

Define architecture and multi‑year roadmap for unified ingestion platform.
Lead enterprise Databricks strategy, security, governance, and cost optimization.
Mentor teams and drive automation, IaC, and policy governance.
Enable AI/ML workloads and analytics across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Collaborate with security, operations, and business stakeholders.
