Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a technology manager to lead a team responsible for cloud infrastructure across global data centers. You will mentor engineers, sponsor projects, and develop strategies while guiding hardware and network operations through on-call rotations.

You will work with a diverse group of software, hardware, and network specialists to optimize safety, cost, and uptime, delivering reliable services and scalable solutions for AWS customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities.
• 4+ years IT experience or Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/math or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of diverse teams across locations.
• Developing Career Paths for the employees and updates in internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Ensure daily data center operations including queue management and 7/24 shift arrangements.
• Lead outage responses and act as the call leader during large-scale events.
• Maintain on-call schedules and improve workflows and processes.
• Advise on policies to meet SLAs and drive customer experience improvements.
