Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to partner with business and technology teams to define and deliver scalable data solutions. You will lead discovery, design target architectures, and guide implementations across the data platform using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI.

The role requires strong background in data warehousing, Medallion Architecture, and CI/CD with a focus on governance, security, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics engineering, BI, or related roles.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions from discovery to production support.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Experience designing modern lakehouse, warehouse, and data integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, SQL, PySpark, and Spark-based processing.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, Medallion Architecture, and pipeline reliability.
• Experience establishing engineering standards for data pipelines, source control, CI/CD, testing, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define business/data challenges and align on analytics solutions.
• Lead discovery and design efforts including requirements, risks, and implementation roadmaps.
• Design scalable, secure data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Establish architecture standards, Medallion patterns, CI/CD practices, and observability.
