Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a data engineer to design, develop, and deploy data warehouses and BI solutions. You will gather requirements, architect data environments, and implement ETL pipelines across cloud platforms. The role includes mentoring staff and participating in firm-wide innovation projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and experience with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and cloud data platforms. This is an in-person role with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with data engineering and analytics deployment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Experience managing multiple data development projects concurrently.
• Hands-on SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Fabric or similar ETL technologies.
• Cloud data platform experience (Fabric, Synapse, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools and processes (ADO, GitHub, dbt).
• Strong SQL skills (stored procedures, CTEs, window functions, DDL/DML).
• Experience developing Python ETL scripts and APIs is a plus.
• Experience in construction and/or manufacturing industry is a plus.
