Job summary

NFP is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead our platform architecture and build a scalable data lakehouse using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Databricks. You will own ingestion patterns, data modeling, and the conformed data model that supports analytics and BI across the organization.

In this role you will mentor a small team of data engineers, establish engineering standards, and partner with product, analytics, and clinical teams to translate business needs into resilient data

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering with 2+ years in a tech lead role.
• Deep experience building lakehouse/medallion architectures; Fabric preferred.
• Strong SQL and Python/PySpark for large-scale transformations.
• Dimensional modeling and star schemas for analytics.
• BI analytics fluency and serving layer understanding.
• Experience ingesting heterogeneous sources into clean models.
• CI/CD, data governance, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the platform architecture and build for scalable data flows.
• Build and operate ingestion pipelines from multiple sources.
• Serve as a cross-functional partner for BI reporting and data services.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and guide team growth.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, clinical, and engineering teams.
