Job summary

Google is seeking a Practice Customer Engineer with a Data Analytics specialty in Mountain View or Playa Vista, CA to accelerate technical wins with complex workloads. You will partner with technical sales, design data foundation architectures, and develop MVPs to demonstrate high-value analytics solutions.

You will solve analytics challenges, engage with executive stakeholders, and influence product feedback while traveling as needed to meet with customers and partner teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with Big Data technologies or concepts (analytics warehousing, data processing, data governance, ETL, SQL, Spark).
• Experience using programming languages (Python, Spark, SQL) to demo or prototype with customers.
• Experience engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support local sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities and engage customers on the data lifecycle.
• Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions.
• Lead technical projects, including technology advocacy, bid responses, and proof-of-concept work.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate integrations and travel as required for meetings.
• Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition.
