Job summary

Google is seeking a Practice Customer Engineer (Data Analytics) to partner with technical sales teams and differentiate Google Cloud for customers across the US. You will accelerate adoption of complex analytics workloads by designing data foundation architectures and MVPs in collaboration with Platform CEs.

You will solve analytics challenges, engage with executives, and contribute to product feedback to drive enhancements. This role may involve travel to client sites and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of cloud native architecture experience in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., analytics warehousing, data processing, data transformation, data governance, ETL, ELT, SQL, Spark).
• Experience using programming languages (Python, Spark, SQL) to demo, prototype, or workshop with customers.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support local sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities, and engage customers on data lifecycle aspects.
• Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions.
• Lead technical projects, including advocacy, bid responses, product/solution briefings, POC work, and coordinating resources.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations; travel as required.
• Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition via demos, white papers, and RFIs.
