Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Practice Customer Engineer (CE) with a Data Analytics specialty to partner with technical sales teams and accelerate technical wins for complex workloads. You will design data foundation architectures, develop MVPs, and translate customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

You will work with Platform CEs to showcase expertise, influence product direction, and help customers adopt Google Cloud at scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with Big Data technologies or concepts (analytics warehousing, data processing, data governance, ETL/ELT, SQL, Spark).
Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Experience using programming languages (Python, Spark, SQL) to demo, prototype, or workshop with customers.

Responsibilities

Drive the technical win for complex workloads within Data Analytics to ensure rapid and successful adoption, supporting the sales cycle from use case identification to evaluation and ramp.
Combine sales strategies with development and prototyping to deliver customer-tailored solutions that secure buy‑in from domain experts.
Provide deep technical consultation to customers, acting as a technical advisor and building lasting relationships.
Leverage learnings from engagements to contribute to reusable solutions with the Go‑To‑Market team.
Provide feedback to Product and Engineering to improve architectures and document feature requests.
