Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Principal Architect in Jersey City to drive the design and adoption of cloud-based architectures that underlie AI and platform capabilities across the enterprise. Qualifications

• 10+ years of architecture experience and formal training.
• Experience delivering system design across large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages.

• Experience applying enterprise AI capabilities with governance.
• Ability to align technical direction with business outcomes.
• Strong communication of complex concepts to executives.
• Experience leading a product as a product owner or manager.

Responsibilities

• Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection, architectural abstractions, and integration patterns to achieve target-state architecture.
• Define and document foundational platform architecture for neocloud, on-premises, and appliance-based environments with standardized deployment patterns.
• Ensure platform alignment with the firm's control plane architecture and enable deployment across diverse environments.
• Shepherd designs through architectural review gates and secure necessary approvals.
• Develop and maintain multi-year architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy and AI priorities.
• Specify new architectural patterns to enable emerging AI capabilities and establish governance across the SDLC.
• Apply enterprise AI capabilities within workflows with proper data handling and validation.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code from others to ensure standards.
• Ensure engineering alignment through structured reviews and governance.
• Document integration with firmwide services, including IAM, while satisfying security controls.
• Serve as SME and contribute to development of technical methods in line with product methodologies.
