Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead the club during closing hours, oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments, and ensure daily GOLD standards are met. You will supervise front-line teams, maintain food safety, and support onboarding and training to drive operational excellence.

The role requires ServSafe certification, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with club leadership to deliver an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in perishable retail operations preferred.
• Experience managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• SERV Safe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing.
• Walk the floor during closing hours to ensure execution and engage Members.
• Maintain GOLD Standards and ensure a clean, safe, and fully stocked club for morning opening.
