BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. in Canton, MI is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead the club’s end-of-day operations, oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments, and ensure a clean, ready-for-morning open environment.

You will coach team members, uphold ServSafe standards, drive in-stock and freshness, and collaborate with club leadership to maintain GOLD standards and strong member service.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Experience in managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Own end-of-day closing: oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments and overnight prep.
• Lead by presence: actively walk the floor during closing to supervise execution.
• Maintain GOLD Standards: ensure GAA and other standards are delivered until close.
• Ensure full-functioning departments through closing and safe operations.
• Coach onboarding and certifications: reinforce ServSafe and department training.
• Drive improvement in underperforming areas and collaborate with club leadership.
